PATTI J. HYNES-MCCARTHY (Writer/Producer)
Patti prides herself on growing up “Minnesotan” in a small northern Minnesota town (Pillager, Minnesota) and graduating from a high school class of 36 students. She attended the University of Minnesota at Morris and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Theatre/Speech/Secondary Education. She then completed a Master of Arts degree in Speech Communications with an emphasis in Theatre from North Dakota State University where she met her handsome husband, Tom and married in 1982 and moved to Coon Rapids. With a strong acting background, Patti never quite pictured herself as a playwright, but began writing scripts for The Seasons Dinner Theatre in 1989 and has to date written 30 original scripts which she will someday publish. Along with her husband, she has co-produced, directed and performed in numerous shows both original and published. She feels her Minnesota roots have been especially helpful in developing scripts that strongly appeal to The Seasons Dinner Theatre audiences. Patti also enjoyed a 19 year history working in human resources and health care. She takes great pride in her two outstandingly smart and handsome boys, Christopher and Jonathon, her daughter-in-law Rojina, and her beautiful daughter, Josephine Mae.
